No Words Picture Books: "Pancakes For Breakfast"

I am very passionate about teaching students to love writing. I love using picture books to create writing assignments. I came across the picture book "Pancakes for Breakfast" by Tomie dePaola. This book caught my interest because it has no text. Immediately I thought, how can I turn this into a fun writing assignment? I scanned the images and put them all onto one page. Now it looks like a comic strip!

I assigned my students to use the images to create their own story. They absolutely loved it!
